New Minigame idea: NoxAMid

    (i did just get this idea from jungle run. its almost the same as the pyramid level from it.)

    basically a pyramid redesigned in noxcrew fashion with 2 sides. aka a noxamid. could be jungle fashioned or in a desert

    the aim of the game is to get as many of your teams blocks on the podiums in the pyramid. (wool) players going into the depths get wool and sheers. if one player puts a piece of wool on the podium then the corresponding podium on the other teams side will be colored. the team with the most of their teams wool on the podiums at time up. wins.

    2 players of each team stay on top. and one goes into the depths of the pyramid. the pathway will be blocked by colored blocks that the two up top need to coordinate to open. but with a clever twist. if both teams are pressing the same button the blocks will stay closed for both teams. if a player stays on for more then 3-5 seconds a piston will lock that plate. for up to 2 seconds.

    about half way through the minigame though. a earthquake will happen and cause some of the paths to be blocked but will also release new paths to new podiums
    so players will have to take the longer way around. gotta be careful when the Noxamid caves in! you could suffocate in the blocks and have to start from the top again.

    there may be deadly traps that each team can trigger. such as lava traps and such. these will trigger with the block doors opening, these will still open tho if both teams are opening the doors.

    if i can. ill build a little model and post the pics :> cant promise it would look good. but it would help visionise my idea i hope this is a good idea XD

    This model could be edited if needed.

    Not bad, it is similar to the Pyramid game in EP1 though....

    didnt watch ep 1 dang. and i dont plan on building it fully. im not that good with redstone XD. i just really built the looks of it. if its that similar to it. it could be called pyramid V2 instead of noxamid

    i wonder if teh noxcrew are actually thinking about this :)

    Pyramid was actually kinda anti-climatic to watch.... I want a bit more PvP action in the Noxcrew Gameshow.

    Please don't take this wall of text as an insult to your game. I would love to see a new version of Pyramid and some of the ideas are leading it to the right direction (Especially the Death Traps), but as a potential descendant of that game, it needs some work.

    Worries with the game

    1. This feels like Sands of time without the ability to add time to keep looking or the Penalty of the Lockdown. Both that game and Pyramid were effective because the Lockdown gave a sense of urgency. You don't get out, you lose your points. Put that lockdown system with both groups in the game, that would make it much more tense for the teams!
    2. Wool blocks for barriers whilst the players are looking for wool? Are we to assume players will use the honour system or are you coding the shear to a particular item number here? May I suggest colored clay as an alternative?
    3. Players staying on Plates for too long incurs a penalty? Not a good plan. Would prevent in the player inside to set up an efficient path to go down/return to place the wool, and if a wool block is in a small room, it will punish them for it. It would take that 5 seconds to get the wool block so they'd be locked in and slowed down.
    4. How would you code in the a player of both teams were on the same pressure plate to keep the door closed? Can it be coded?
    5. The Earthquake. How will you code it? Pistons? Similar to the explosion at the beginning of the Gameshow (Watch Avondale's video if you don't know what I'm talking about)
    6. If a player is in one of the paths that gets blocked, how are they going to be able to continue the match? Will they have to get the Helper bot to TP them out, or will there be a path back?
    7. If you're making a Pyramid game, then the area the players will be in needs to look like a pyramid. The Lobby area of Pyramid looked like a the entrance to a tomb network, not many people are going to be looking outside unless the exterior is being used (which might make the camera bots short circuit a little...)

    1. well it was a alpha build XD. many things can be changed before it gets fully complete.
    2. i was using it as a colour system. wasnt gonna use wool as a barrier
    3. the lock down would only be small. like 2-4 seconds.
    4. i was hoping avondale could figure that out XD. (its really just a matter of redstone)
    5. same with 4.
    6. then they activate the trap and respawn at the top of the pyramid. (possible button there to activate it manually)
    7. it was a rushed project. just did it in about a night with MCedit. 100 x 100 pyramids are hard without it :p (otherwise same with point 1)

    i didnt take it as a hate train. i took it as ideas i can improve on :)
    i really dont mind if it gets changed at all because its adding to the game :p
